From Text Messages to Transportation: How Infrastructure Makes it All Possible
This infographic explores the vitally important role infrastructure plays each and every day of your life.
Over the past few years, a new event has emerged after Black Friday and Cyber Monday have ended: Giving Tuesday, a day for, as the name implies, giving back. We wanted to be part of this special day, so after filling up on turkey this Thanksgiving, we are launching a Giving Challenge on December 1, also known as Giving Tuesday. We invite businesses that are doing good for the community to participate in the Giving Challenge by telling their stories throughout the month using #bizgiving. Whether it’s a corporate-run philanthropic donation or employees regularly volunteering at a local animal shelter, it’s all part of the story we want to tell.
For example, IBM is #bizgiving through its Corporate Services Corps, which uses IBM’s resources to provide pro bono consulting services to solve problems in emerging markets. Triangle Rock Club in North Carolina is #bizgiving with a “Climbathon” to help support local charities. Kate Spade is #bizgiving with the On Purpose campaign, which trains artisans in Rwanda and integrates them into the supply chain, providing them with sustained demand and revenue. As businesses tell how they are #bizgiving, we’ll round up these stories and highlight the good each business does.
Not a business? Tweet at businesses in your community to encourage them to tell how they’re #bizgiving.
No matter if you Give Resources, Give Time, or Give Money, tell your #bizgiving story about how you Give Back.
