#90SecondsWith: Carol’s Daughter Founder Lisa Price
Free Enterprise Staff | July 23, 2014

Lisa Price gives much of the credit for her success to her mother, Carol. No surprise, given the name of the natural beauty products business she launched two decades ago out of her Brooklyn kitchen.

Price has come a long way since then, from a dream-come-true endorsement by Oprah Winfrey during one of the TV icon’s shows in 2002 to launching an exclusive collection for Target in March. Yet she’s far from being done with dreaming. “I hesitate to say I’ve made it because I don’t want to close any doors, I don’t want to shut any windows, because who knows what’s in store,” Price tells Free Enterprise in a #90SecondsWith video.

“I operate the way that my mother taught me and, as I go through each thing — feeling blessed and keep working hard.” She urges other women getting into business to understand, and follow, their passion. “What is it that you’re passionate about and what do you bring to your business that’s different?” asks Price, who has certainly followed her passion.
