The U.S. Chamber of Commerce launched a major new ad blitz in four crucial Senate races across the nation. The ads, running in Hawaii, Nevada, New Mexico, and North Dakota, highlight candidates’ positions on issues critical to economic growth and job creation, including domestic energy production, health care, and government spending. This launch bolsters the Chamber’s unprecedented and ongoing voter education efforts, which will highlight lawmakers' record as rated in the Chamber’s annual 2011 How They Voted scorecard.
“We need leaders in the Senate who understand that free enterprise and not more government will lead the American recovery,” says Thomas J. Donohue, the Chamber’s president and CEO. “Our efforts underscore the importance of electing a pro-business Senate that will be focused on good long-term transportation policy, increased energy production, and fiscal responsibility to bring our economy back.”
