Looking at my Google Map is deceptive. I’ve set a marker for each of the cities I’ll be visiting this summer for Free Enterprise, and as I sit back and review my neatly drawn routes, I already feel some strange sense of accomplishment, despite having actually accomplished nothing for small businesses beyond the $2.50 I just invested in this coffee shop. In other words: I haven’t done anything yet.
On the Road with Free Enterprise
The votes are in! Thousands of Free Enterprise fans voted on who they wanted to be their tour guides for the road trip of a lifetime. After a hard-fought battle, Nate Hindman and Joe Epstein have been officially selected as your Free Enterprise Tour Guides.
UPDATE: Voting has closed. Please check back Monday, April 29 to learn who will be your Free Enterprise Tour Guides!
It’s time to choose your guides for the road trip of a lifetime!
This June, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will launch “On the Road With Free Enterprise,” a two-month cross-country road trip to promote the principles of free enterprise and the best of America. Your Free Enterprise Tour Guides will see the sights, check out local events, talk to businesses, and share it all with you on FreeEnterprise.com.
For the last two months, the "On the Road With Free Enterprise" team has been poring over 900 applications for the Best Summer Job in America. The teams applying to be our Free Enterprise Tour Guides shared their experiences, their unique qualifications, and their humor. We thoroughly enjoyed reviewing the applications and, unfortunately, we don't have a bus to bring more applicants on tour.
Note: Nate and Joe make up one of the two finalist teams for the Best Summer Job in America. To view the profile of the other team (Jen and John), please click here. We want your help making the decision of which team gets to hit the road this summer as your Free Enterprise Tour Guides. Voting on the teams will open Monday, April 22, and close at noon on Friday, April 26.
