EPA Utility MACT Standard
The most important thing in this world is clean air and water. Without I, nothing else matters. Plus, no one can correct damage to our earth once it has been destroyed.--Karen Marlise Cowles, Seminole, FL

The EPA is just one of many examples of out-of-control federal government regulations without regard for the cost to taxpayers, killing job growth and our ability to compete in world markets.--Tom Watson, Ridgefield, CT

The coal and utility industry today sounds just like the auto industry in the 1990s when it said it couldn’t build cars that got better mileage for under $50,000. You can now buy cars that get close to 50 miles per gallon for $19,000. American industry gets fat and lazy unless it is forced to change.--Stephen Harvey, Alexandria , VA

Regulations
OSHA is raging in Montana ... no warnings, just huge, business-killing fines in multiples. Talk about hurting small businesses, the true job creators. Safety cultures are extremely important; yet there must be a better way for the Feds to police us. I believe a warning system would work well. --Pam, Montana

Two-word solution to the health care bureaucracy: single payer. Health care is unaffordable for my business and millions of others for two primary reasons: the parasitic insurance industry and government-granted monopolies to big pharma.--Eric Ross, Billings, MT

European Debt Crisis
I am concerned that Tim Geithner will take us into a world currency and into a world government. If we get mixed up in the European debt mess, I feel it will eventually lead to world government. I am also afraid that Trump will run as an Independent and split the conservative vote so that Obama stays in power. The triggers are all there, and the operators are in the pocket of Soros!--Steve Juhan, Tucson, AZ

The European debt crisis is an economic issue for our country, but more importantly, the USA needs to fix its own economy. Our nation needs to put differences aside and start working with each other politically for the common good of this great nation. Our country possesses a very powerful economic tool box. Why are we not using these very capable tools to fix our economy? Somehow we need to inject this economy with enough juice to reduce unemployment. We need to encourage the private sector to quit sitting on trillions of dollars and spend it in the United States. Government spending needs to take place to create an economy that the private sector is willing to invest in. Needed. Simple. Doable. Get it done.--Mick Hagestead, Kalispell, MT
