According to a Wall Street Journal report, the nation's largest labor groups want their lower-paid members to be able to get federal insurance subsidies while remaining in their union health care plans, even though the 2010 health care law was designed so that only low-income workers without employer coverage would be eligible for the subsidies as a way to help them buy private insurance. The unions, many of whom supported Obamacare, say the subsidies are necessary because many of the law's requirements will drive up the costs of their health-care plans.
