TIME: 2012: Year of the Entrepreneur?

While TIME Magazine pinned 2011 as the year of the protester, it speculates that 2012 could be that of the entrepreneur. Now more than ever, entrepreneurship is an answer to unemployment, a time for innovators to step up and grow successful businesses. The article details why this is the right climate for entrepreneurship:
Jobs are in scarce supply, and underemployment is at an all-time high. Things look bleak. But, truth be told, there has never been a better time for individuals to start new businesses. Taking up entrepreneurship is now an extremely doable means to overcome unemployment and underemployment, and perhaps even get rich. There are certainly enough global, national and local problems that need solving–and worldwide, 2012 must be a big year for innovative problem solvers.
In 2012, individuals must take their big ideas and turn them into businesses. This will not only provide individual successes, but more importantly establish a culture of entrepreneurship that will rejuvenate the global economy. The opportunity to become an entrepreneur is out there; now is the time for Americans take action and start a business.
