Earlier this month, trade ministers for the 159 members of the World Trade Organization (WTO) gathered in Bali, Indonesia, where they unanimously endorsed the first multilateral trade agreement in nearly two decades. Dubbed the Trade Facilitation Agreement (TFA), it will streamline the passage of goods across borders by cutting red tape and bureaucracy and establishing common approaches to the clearance of goods through customs.
