Chamber Joins Facebook to Boost Small Business
We're excited to announce that today the Chamber is teaming up with Facebook and the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) to help small businesses connect with customers and create jobs. This joint effort is designed to help businesses and entrepreneurs leverage the social web in building community around their business and attracting more customers. By combining resources, expertise, and reach we're poised to help small businesses succeed in the modern marketplace.
In the U.S., small businesses employ more than half of all private sector workers and have generated more than 64% of new jobs over the past 15 years, making them a critical component of the economy. As Facebook, now with 800 million users, and other popular online communities continue to expand, so do the opportunities available to businesses. That's why we're working together to make it easier for our members and businesses across the nation to take advantage of the new prospects provided by social media.
