T. Boone Pickens has captured a lot of attention in Washington, and around the country, with his call for complete energy independence through a dramatic increase in the use of renewable energy.  It is a great story, oil tycoon turned enviromentalist.  The only problem is he is wrong, well mostly wrong anyway.  As outlined in our open letter to the next President and Congress, we do need to increase the use of solar, wind, energy-from-waste, and other renewable technologies, however, single tracked solutions will not work.  Former US Senator J.
